IRHSP Thermo-bond is a heat-activated adhesive designed specifically to “repair” vinyl. This product will restore damaged vinyl surfaces quickly and professionally.

IRHSP has designed Thermo-Bond specifically to repair cuts, tears, cracks, holes, seam damage, and bubbles. Thermo-Bond bonds vinyl perfectly when activated with heat, creating a strong, flexible, and durable repair.

It is ideal for filling those pesky tiny holes in the fingertips and toes of your dolls, as it spreads smoothly and cures evenly, allowing you to reconstruct problem areas with precision.

Once heat-set, it mimics the look and feel of the original surface, maintaining its flexibility without cracking or shrinking over time. If desired, you can stain it, add a texturing agent, or blend it into the surface for a nearly invisible repair. If too much product remains on the surface after curing (baking), you can sand it down very carefully to even out the surface. Whether you are restoring a precious doll or performing a professional repair, Thermo-Bond provides the control and durability you need for high-quality results.

IRHSP Thermo-Bond Instructions:

Stir well before use. Using the brushes provided (or any brush of your choice), apply generously to the problem area, ensuring that Thermo-Bond penetrates cracks or fills small holes. Once applied, press the area and wipe away any excess product remaining on the surface, taking care not to wipe the inside of the areas where Thermo-Bond has been applied. It is best to use a latex-free sponge to clean the area (you can also use your fingers). This product dries clear and has a slight sheen when dry, but does not affect any paint or medium applied after repairing the problem.

Bake at 130°C for 12 minutes and allow to cool completely before handling and testing. The cooler it is, the more resistant it will be. Once heat-set, it will never peel, crack, or yellow.

Tip: if the cut is very deep, you can use a heat gun and start the curing process for a few minutes (do not hold it too close to the vinyl so as not to melt the vinyl part) before putting it in the oven, to help adhesion if you want to apply more product. It is not necessary, just apply, bake, and stick!
